July 4th 2024 Parking Restrictions

On, Thursday, July 4th, 2024, there will be no parking all day on both sides of the following streets:

Main Street from Hudson Street to Route 218, Hudson Street from Main Street to First Street, North Street, Center Street, South Street, McCann Lane, Tamara Lane, Hazen Street, Clinton Street, Union Street from Main Street to Clinton Street, Hasbrouck Avenue from Main Street to Clinton Street, Broadway and Grand Street.

Note: Quaker Avenue will be closed on both sides from Elm Street to the traffic circle from *3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Main Street will be closed on both sides from the traffic circle to Hudson Street from *3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

There will be no public parking in the rear of Town Hall.

Anyone needing a pass for the disabled (to park in the Town Hall front lot) can pick them up at the Town of Cornwall Police Department communications center on or after Tuesday, June 25, 2024 through Wednesday, July 3, 2024. Please bring your license plate number and your disabled parking permit. There is a limited number of passes available and no disabled passes will be given out on the Fourth of July.

    **Main Street from Willow to South Street No parking either side from 3:00-11:00pm

    ** These are the two areas of biggest concern as parking is parking is permitted on Main Street from the Traffic Circle to South Street up until 3:00PM then vehicles have to be removed in preparation for the parade. After the parade, vehicles may park on Main Street from the Traffic Circle to Willow Avenue but there is NO PARKING on Main Street from Willow Ave to South Street for the remainder of the night due to the large influx of pedestrian traffic

    Parking is permitted at the Cornwall Middle School, The Cornwall Elementary School at Lee Road and any street that doesn’t have any posted restrictions

  • Memorial Day Parking Restrictions

    On Monday May 30, 2022 the American Legion will be holding it’s annual Memorial Day Parade. In support of this there will be NO PARKING on the Following Streets from 8 AM-12 PM :
    - NO PARKING on Main Street from the Traffic Circle to Hudson Street
    - NO PARKING on Broadway
    - NO PARKING on Willow Avenue from Broadway to Main Street
    - NO PARKING on Hudson Street from Main Street to the Village line

    Parking restrictions for the Fall Festival:Sunday, September 18, 2022, there will beNo Parkingon Main Street from the Traffic Circle to Hazen Street from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.There will beNo Parkingon Torrey Lane from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and side streets will be restricted to one side of the street.

  • SNOWFALL PARKING RESTRICTIONS

    SNOWFALL PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
    There is No Parking permitted on any Town road when two or more inches of snow has fallen until such time that the road is plowed of snow. Anyone wishing to park at Town Hall in advance of or during a snowstorm may do so as long as they register their vehicle with the Town of Cornwall Police Department by emailing Chief Gebert at [emailprotected] It will be necessary to provide your name, make, model and license plate number along with a good phone contact number as you may be contacted to move your vehicle in support of Town Hall plowing operations. Please park in the first row closest to Main Street.

  • PARKING RESTRICTIONS - Sunday, December 4, 2022

    On Sunday December 4th2022, Main Street will be closed to traffic from the Traffic Circle to Willow Avenue from 2:00pm-5:00pm. There will be NO PARKING on Main Street from the Traffic Circle to Willow Avenue from 1:00pm-5:00pm. Parking on Broadway will be restricted to the East side of the street. The Traffic Circle will be closed to traffic from 4:00pm-5:15pm. Thank you.

  • Town of Cornwall Justice Court is cancelled Wednesday, July 12th and Thursday, July 13th due to flooding. Letters rescheduling court dates will be mailed.
